It’s official, Emma Chamberlain is bringing her business Chamberlain Coffee to life with the brand’s first standalone Café, inspired by her own kitchen, marking a huge new chapter for the brand.
Founded by Chamberlain in 2019, after her personal brand had been widely associated with her love for coffee, the brand started with the simple idea of making specialty coffee less intimidating and fun for younger Gen Z consumers.
As the brand grew, Chamberlain Coffee expanded beyond beans and cold brew and into matcha, canned lattes, mugs, accessories, and merchandise, making this standalone store opening a huge milestone for the brand.
Located on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, and designed in collaboration with Marie Trohman and Ashley Drost, who designed Emma’s own personal kitchen, the Café is rooted in an atmosphere that feels intimate, relaxed, and quietly elevated.
With marble countertops, retro-inspired light boxes, and a palette drawn from Emma’s own home, the space layers warm woods, greens and the brand’s signature blue. The space also nods to Venice’s coastline and features nostalgic diner details.
Rather than the brand’s first café experience, which was designed purely as a grab-and-go, this new set-up encourages customers to stay and linger in the space across intimate seating areas, reinforcing the brand’s emphasis on the ritual of everyday moments.
The cafés menu includes pastries from small local bakers and a curated menu of signature drinks inspired by Emma’s favourite flavours. As well as limited edition merchandise available on site, with a curated retail area designed specifically to fit Emma’s aesthetic.
In this huge step for the brand, the opening of the Abbot Kinney café elevates the brand from digital first to physical destination, translating the humour and intentionality of Chamberlain Coffee into a space that people can experience first-hand.
The store is now open to the public at 1142 Abbot Kinney Boulevard, Venice, Los Angeles, CA.
