Paris is more than a fashion capital for brands; it’s a city where brands come to establish a point of view, gain creative inspiration, and make a collection feel like a part of culture.
For New York-based accessories brand VERAFIED, Paris proved the setting for its newest chapter. This weekend, Because of Marketing attended a co-hosted intimate cocktail evening with actress and long-time fashion icon Kelly Rutherford. The night brought together talent and friends of the brand for a curated evening to celebrate its latest collection and the craftsmanship behind its modern luxury sculptural handbags.

Hosted inside the George V Signature Suite, the night offered a natural meeting point between New York’s modern energy and the city’s enduring connection to vintage fashion.
Rather than positioning the collection through a traditional launch, the brand created an intimate introduction to the new collection, placing the bags throughout the space surrounded by guests who naturally align with the brand’s quiet confidence and contemporary edge.
As the co-host of the evening, bringing her own longstanding relationship with fashion and personal style to the occasion, we spoke with Kelly Rutherford to find out what made her fall in love with VERAFIED:
“She has so many different types of bags; all the handles completely change, you can make them short or long, and they are so chic and comfortable. They’re just amazing. Did you know the new one has an actual necklace on it, which I love? So beautiful.”

Founded in New York, the brand draws on the energy and architecture of the city, translating this modern feel into its minimalist silhouettes. Building its identity around the interpretation of modern luxury, emphasising pieces that are designed to transcend a single season.

For VERAFIED, vintage references and the past are just as important to the design process. The brand’s founder draws inspiration from the vintage references around the city to translate these into her contemporary designs.
We spoke with VERAFIED’s founder, Vera C. Wang, about what she creatively loves about Paris:
“Everything that’s vintage. I love history, and all the old elements about the city. I love putting all the vintage elements into my designs, and as you can see, everything is vintage-inspired but modernised.”

For VERAFIED, the evening marked more than the introduction of a new collection. It offered a glimpse into how the brand is shaping its identity for Fall and Winter. By bringing its vintage references into a contemporary collection and introducing them through a personal, considered gathering, the brand is carving out a space that feels distinctly its own.
