Gymshark Recruits First Celebrity Ambassador

Global activewear brand Gymshark has expanded its Athlete program to its first-ever celebrity ambassador: three-time Grammy winner, rapper and entrepreneur Megan Thee Stallion.

The star kicks off the partnership by celebrating strength, confidence and self-love to mark the next chapter of Gymshark’s global ‘We Do Gym’ platform, with ‘Megan Does Gym’ encouraging women to feel empowered and strong in their workouts.

Shot by Jack Bridgeland, Gymshark draws on a narrative that already exists, as the star is known to her fans as the ‘Hot Girl Coach,’ regularly sharing workout routines and progress with her fanbase. Her regime combines Pilates with HIIT training, weightlifting and her iconic Stallion Kicks (Donkey kicks), bringing the same confidence to her workouts as she does to her performances.

Megan Thee Stallion spoke on the partnership, explaining what fitness means to her personal confidence:

“Fitness has become such an important part of my life, so I’m really excited to partner with Gymshark. I’m a big believer that working out has a powerful impact on your physical and mental health and it’s just one of the best forms of self-love and building confidence. We all approach fitness differently, so I just want to encourage everyone to find the best routine that works for them, show up consistently and take on the gym with confidence.”

The partnership comes as more women redefine the gym floor, with women holding the majority of gym memberships worldwide as Gen Z drives growth in the weight room. Megan’s own workout routine, which moves between strength, cardio, and Pilates, puts her and women at the centre of this shift.

Carly Natalizia, Chief Commercial Officer at Gymshark, explained how the collaboration reflects the brand’s longstanding commitment to championing strong women:

“Championing strong women has been part of Gymshark’s DNA since day one – not just physical strength, but the confidence to be completely yourself. We’ve always believed the gym is where women build themselves twice over: their bodies, and their minds. Megan embodies that better than almost anyone we could imagine: she is unapologetic, she trains to get stronger, to clear her mind, and to keep growing. That’s exactly the story we’ve built this brand around.”

Marking the newest chapter for Gymshark, the partnership reflects the brand’s wider strategy of using talent with an established cultural following to introduce the brand to new consumers while maintaining its core Gymshark identity in training.

Celebrity partnerships are in no way uncommon, but for Gymshark, having the rapper as their first, on a long-term basis, gives the brand time to develop consistent storytelling across Megan’s personal brand as well as build familiarity with audiences.

Under the long-term collaboration, Megan will join the brand’s roster of global athletes, coaches and creators who use their platforms to inspire audiences through fitness. Fans will be able to shop her favourite Gymshark looks, with the campaign rolling out across social, OOH activations, and in-person shopping experiences.
