Amazon Music and Wieden+Kennedy Transform Travel with a Thrilling New Audio Experience

Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and Amazon Music have launched a fresh brand campaign that reimagines how we enjoy audio on the move. Timed perfectly for the holiday travel season, the campaign highlights Amazon Music Unlimited’s newest feature: one free Audible audiobook per month for subscribers in the US, UK, and Canada. This feature transforms mundane commutes into captivating adventures.

The campaign delves into the deep emotional bonds people share with stories, whether through music, audiobooks, or podcasts. Audiobooks act as a bridge for music and podcast enthusiasts, introducing them to new genres, perspectives, and fandoms that keep them engaged wherever they go.

At the heart of the campaign is a 30-second film, “On The Go,” which transforms an airport journey into a noir-inspired audio experience. “Airports provide the ideal setting to explore the diverse range of people who turn to music and audiobooks while waiting for their flights,” explain W+K creatives Stuart Harkness, Chris Taylor, and Paula Essig.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lance Oppenheim and featuring a dynamic score by collaborator Ari Bazoulian, the film delivers punchy, cinematic storytelling for today’s savvy, content-loving audiences. “We crafted a ‘whodunnit’ crime thriller adventure, seamlessly blending music, podcasts, and audiobooks. With a cast of quirky, charismatic characters and a hypnotic soundtrack, we transformed killing time into a thrilling experience,” add the W+K creative team.

The campaign will appear on social media and streaming platforms across the US, UK, and Canada, as well as in out-of-home placements in bus and train stations, prominent street locations, and major US airports, including JFK, LAX, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, and Chicago O’Hare.
