Parkrun’s latest campaign for World Mental Health Day is just what the doctor ordered

The 20-year-old non profit organisation shared creative social and out of home assets showcasing parkrun as a prescribed activity for patients.

The campaign was inspired by the Royal College of General Practitioners who highlighted a run outdoors can help treat anxiety and depression.

Parkrun began at Bushy Park in London in 2004 by a few friends who ran a 5km around the park. Today, there are 10 million registered parkrunners, 900,000 volunteers, 2,000 surgeries linked with Parkrun and 23 countries where Parkrun takes place (source).
